DECIMALS!!

Happy FRIDAY! Man, it has been a crazy week. My prayers and thoughts go out to any families who have been effected by Hurricane Harvey. I can't even wrap my head around it all. Because of our 2 hour delay on Monday, we are a little off on what I had planned for this week. On Thursday we reviewed all that we had learned so far and students were able to get a little "taste" of what centers will look like during our math block. Today, students are taking a Student Learning Objective Pre-Test over Multiplication. We will take the same test at the end of the year to see how much students have learned.

A reminder that Monday we will be off and celebrate Labor Day! On Thursday, I look forward to seeing you for Back-To-School night at 6:30. We will meet in the Cafeteria and then go from there. If you can't make it to Back-to-School Night, don't worry, Mrs. Ebert, Mr. Fanelli, and I will be sending out and posting all of the information online.

Here is what I have planned for the upcoming week.

MONDAY - LABOR DAY

TUESDAY - Decimal Introduction, Poem, and Place Value

WEDNESDAY - Continue to work with Decimal Place Value

THURSDAY - Students will relate 10ths and Decimals

FRIDAY - Students will relate 100ths and Decimals

I think that is it for now! I hope you all have a wonderful 3 day weekend!

Blessings, Mrs. Burke
